Our Monthly Gatherings
For many teachers, after graduating their 200 hour teacher training there is still so much more to learn and feeling ready to teach in the real world is still a daunting endeavour - this is why we started Sunday School Yoga. A place where we can learn, share, grow together and continually support you in those first few years.
So whether you've recently graduated, or you've got a few years under your belt, join us anytime to share tips, tricks, teaching techniques and so much more. These monthly gatherings are all about YOU, and together we learn, share and grow. But we are about more than what we do on the mat, SSY is about bringing together a community of like-minded yogis to share and connect. We only have one rule at Sunday School Yoga "leave with more friends than you came with!"
How it Works
Each month one of our mentors shares a workshop about a different theme relevant for new and developing teachers. What makes our gathering so special is that we have time to try, explore, learn and practice teaching techniques.
Each gathering is about listening, learning and doing, straight away and our aim is to give you the real world techniques to integrate straight away.
Each session is three and half hours long, 2:00 - 5:30pm, a perfect way to spend a Sunday afternoon.
With the amazing support of some of the top yoga studios around town, we host at a different locations around London to ensure that we're available and accessible to everyone.
What to Expect
We are not about teaching you what is right or wrong, instead we like to think about it as right and left! When we come together each month it's about sharing. Lots of options, lots of opinions and lots of yoga.
Sunday School Yoga is an opportunity for our mentors to share knowledge and experience learnt through hands-on teaching in a safe and friendly space. And for new teachers, it's a way of becoming a part of the ever growing community of teachers in your local community.
Each and every mentor involved in SSY monthly gatherings are there donating their time for our communities growth and development. We are so lucky to have them, and are continually grateful for their time, energy and expertise in sharing the the practice through their experiences.
SSY is a donation-based community run by volunteers, mentors and teachers who are passionate about giving back. At SSY monthly gatherings we ask for a £20 donation to help cover the community costs; studio rental, events & experiences that celebrate our amazing community. All SSY community team are not paid for their time, or teaching, and all mentors and teachers involved give their service to support our growing group of yogis.
Please be aware that if you book and reserve your spot your donation is non-refundable, however it is transferable to other schoolers so you gift your spot to a fellow schooler.
SSY is a community first organisation, so if you cannot afford the donation, please email School Captain, Lauren Tai at firstname.lastname@example.org to coordinate a non-monetary means of donation such as helping us set up on the day.

Teaching yoga to children, offers endless opportunities to empower children, build their confidence, stimulate their creativity, and equip them with tools to manage daily obstacles. It is in my opinion the ultimate gift one can give a child.
During the workshop you will find out what makes yoga for children so different then yoga for adults, why do we share yoga with children rather than teaching yoga to children, what are the qualities that we need to spark and nourish within us before going and sharing yoga with children.
Come and explore the magic that is sharing yoga with children.
