Dive deep into the practice on the next 300 hour SSYTT Hatha Vinyasa Teacher Training Course. This is an advanced training course led by international teacher and facilitator, Michael James Wong, and is hosted over three 11-day intensives in London & India from July-November, 2020. The course curriculum will focus on understanding, experiencing and teaching the complete practice of yoga.

This advanced training course will focus on deepening your understanding of the practice through dedicated study of yoga philosophy and embodied asana while developing the tools & techniques necessary for teaching in the real world. Each 11-day module intensive will focus on critical aspects of the practice from the history yoga, deep learning and understanding of philosophy, sanskrit and mantra to in depth teaching techniques for cuing & dialogue, intelligent sequencing, advanced anatomy, hands on assisting, restorative practices, meditation, mindfulness and more.

Michael James Wong

Michael is a teacher’s teacher who is dedicated to building and celebrating the global yoga community and empowering students to find their own path and purpose in the practice. Michael is an International teacher who first found the practice 20 years ago growing up in Santa Monica, California. Having spent his early years learning the practice within the Baptiste & Bryan Kest Power Yoga systems, these days Michael’s teachings are inspired by such teachers as Rod Stryker (Para Yoga), Travis Eliot (Holistic Flow), Elena Brower, Abbie Galvin (Katonah Yoga), Jonni Pollard (Vedic Meditation & 1 Giant Mind) and many more.

Michael pays his greatest respect to his teacher Annie Carpenter, creator of SmartFlow Yoga now based in Oakland, California.

These days, Michael is based in London, England and is regarded as one of the leading voices in the global yoga community, he travels extensively building and celebrating communities all over the world and is the Founder of Just Breathe, Boys of Yoga and the Co-Founder of this amazing Sunday School Yoga community of teachers. Michael continues to dedicate his teaching in service to the global community of yoga with on-going training, immersions and mentorship programmes.
